McDonald's Philippines Newest Campaign Featuring #ALDUB

McDonald's Philippines newest ad campaign again features Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza of the #ALDUB phenomenon. The campaign is tagged Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko #AldubKoTo with music of the same title Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko composed by Rey Valera for Sharon Cuneta in 1977. The song turned gold that year.

It's been 9 months since McDonald's Philippines stepped up Ronald McDonald's big shoe to create an ad campaign based on the #ALDUB phenomenon. In its first campaign Aldub Ko 'To and Papa Na Kita #AldubKoTo, the latter has received more than 5 million views to this day. The campaign featured McDonald's Chicken ala King, which became a bestseller during the period in Sept 2015. The success of the McDonald's ad campaign paved-way to other successful ad campaigns — from bleach to sardines, milk to softdrinks, toothpaste to chocolate, insurance to bank, text to smartphone, fabcon to detergent, cookies to hotdog, shampoo to feminine hygiene, from cold suppressants to ice cream, and from coffee to car, among a host of others  — making #ALDUB love team, perhaps, the most effective products and brand endorsers; likewise making the #ALDUB fandom the most powerful consumer group.

A month after, the first 2 campaigns of McDonald's was followed by Paniwalaan Mo #AldubKoTo. After 3 months, McDonald's did Maine-ahal Kita Agad #AldubKoTo, followed by Ipagpatawad Mo, Minahal Kita Agad #AldubKoTo, which has received over 2 million views to this day.

The AldubKoTo ad campaign series by McDonalds followed a story between Alden and Maine and the characters they play in Eat Bulaga's KalyeSerye. The first of a series showed how Alden's and Maine's paths had crossed but the two never met. The next of a series developed a falling-in-love story until they finally met. Timing on the coming first anniversary of the #ALDUB phenomenon and love team, McDonald's created its newest campaign with Alden and Maine promising to stay together for life.

Follow Alden and Maine's love story via the McDonald's ad campaigns. Relive the kilig (or chills and thrills, retro kilig to the bones.)
