If you were already born in the 70s, an unforgettable TV drama that you wouldn't want to miss an episode was Little House On The Prairie. That classic drama, which I wouldn't want to call soap, is based on Laura Ingall Wilder's bestseller book series Little House. The TV series ran on NBC from 1974 to 1982.

In the drama series, Melissa Gilbert played Laura Ingalls while Melissa Sue Anderson played her sister Mary. These two young girls played characters that were loved by every follower because of their simplicity, modesty, and values.

Little House On The Prairie is a family drama. Charles (played by Michael Landon) and Caroline (played by Karen Grassle) portrayed role models as parents of Laura and Mary Ingalls. In a way, every parent then who was following the series, was "evangelized" as to how parents should behave and tackle problems and challenges in their family.

In the Philippines, GMA Network aired the drama series on prime time every Saturday. Those years, GMA Network, which was catering to the AB market on prime time, aired only TV canned series mainly from USA. Little House On The Prairie was a household name, talked about in schools by the younger generation.

This is so far the most viewed among McDonald's commercials on YouTube.
